Biographical Notes:
In 1973 Ollis was offered a place at The Royal College of Art, London, under the tutorship of Peter Blake. Tutors at the RCA included - David Hockney, R B Kitaj, Peter Blake, Howard Hodgkin, Peter De Francia and others.
The following year together with fellow RCA student Jim Hunter Ollis is awarded a three month residency in Paris at The Cite International des Arts. In the summer of 1974.
Ollis was selected by The British Council as it's Artist-in-residence, British Representative at the 1975 Malta International Youth Arts Festival.
On receiving his Master of Arts (Painting) from the Royal College of Art in 1976, he interviewed for several art teaching posts around the world. Ollis finally acepted a post at Darwin Community College, a college of advanced education in The Northern Territory of Australia.
